* ``std::shared_ptr``: gradually transform.

  * "no known conversion" -> explain implicit conversion
    vs. ``explicit``.

    * note: ``SharedDataOwner`` ctor signature has
      ``std::shared_ptr<>`` in it. one solution is to implicitly take
      ownership, by accepting ``Data*``. *this is no win in
      readability/maintainability!*
